Analysis of Active Constituents of Alpinia officinarum Hance from Different Localities of Hainan Province

Abstract: A HPLC analysis method for active constituents of Alpinia officinarum Hance such as quercetin,isorhamnetin,galangin and kaempferol was established,and a quantitative analysis of these active constituents of A.officinarum from different localities was also performed. The results showed that A. officinarum collected from numerous localities in Hainan Province had higher content of quercetin,isorhamnetin,galangin and kaempferol than that from Xuwen,Guangdong Province,and that the content of galangin met the standard listed in China’s Pharmacopoeia.
