  • The species and hazards of the sweet corn fruit borers in main planting areas in Hainan province,such as Qionghai,Ledong,Sanya and so on,were investigated.The results indicated that there are 4 specie insect on corn ear,Ostrinia furnacalis（Guenée）,Mythimna seperata（Walker）,Helicoverpa armigera（Húbner） and Proceras venosatus（Walker）,which belong to Noctuidae and Pyralidae in Lepidoptera.,and O.furnacalis is the most destructive insect pest in sweet corn,and 72.20% of sweet corn ear can be infected in field.
