Abstract: Tapping Panel Dryness( TPD) of rubber tree( Hevea brasiliensis) is a serious threat to rubber industry. Research in TPD has been made for about hundred years since TPD occurred, but no solution to TPD is available. Numerous molecular research activities in TPD have been conducted in recent years to elucidate the mechanism of TPD occcurrence. Advances in study of genes and proteins related to TPD of rubber tree via gene cloning, genomics and proteomics in recent years were reviewed.
