Abstract: Study on flowering mechanism is important for shortening the breeding cycle of rubber tree. Here, two LFY homologous genes,HbLFY1 and HbLFY2,were cloned from Hevea brasiliensis, and then over-expressed in the Wild-type and LFY mutant Arabidopsis thaliana. Statistical results showed that the HbLFY genes did not significantly promote early flowering in Arabidopsis, indicating that HbLFYs are not the key genes regulating flowering time of rubber tree.
